In the car the other day Aubree fell asleep with her new shades on!! It was so cute!! (Thanks Gram and Grandaddy for the cool shades)

Kansas Trip 2009

Over spring break Josh, Aubree, and I drove to Hutchinson, Kansas, to visit Poppy Brian, Mamual Lisa, Aunt Amanda, Kalyse, Keastin, Grandma Kay, Wally and Uncle Matt. We also visited with Josh's Grandpa and Grandma Abernathy. We decided since it is about a 7 or 8 hour drive that it would be better to drive at night so Aubree would sleep. It worked perfectly! On the way down there she woke up once in Tulsa which is almost half way. We arrived at Grandma Kay's house at 5 in the morning! (Thank you so much for letting us stay with you!) We were just so happy to finally be there! The next day was kind of a lazy day. We visited with our friends Ryan, Aspen, and Kailey. Aubree loves to play with Kailey! We also played at the park with all the kids. Aubree had so much fun playing with Kalyse and Keastin! Mamual Lisa ,Uncle Matt, and Aunt Amanda took the kids to play at another park while Josh and I went out to eat at our favorite restaurant, The Anchor Inn!! The next day Brian took us out to eat!(Thanks!) Grandma Kay also hosted a WONDERFUL and DELICIOUS supper! The worst part of the trip (besides the 60 mile hour wind ;) ) was having to leave early due to an unexpected snow storm. Lisa came over early Thursday morning and told us we needed to get on the road because there was some bad weather moving in aka a snow blizzard. We had a wonderful trip! We can not wait to go back this summer and see everyone!! We love you and miss you all!!

PS: Sorry Lisa that I did not get any pics of us at Anchor Inn! Josh talked me out of taking pictures of everyone!! I definitely will next time!!!

Keaton turned 1!!

In January, Aubree attended Keaton's first birthday party! She loves to play with him so much. He does not even seem to mind how bossy Aubs can be. ;) He had a wonderful party. AWESOME JOB, CARISSA!!! All the kids had tons of fun! Thank you for letting us share in your wonderful day!! We love you, Keaton and Carissa!

I love this so much!! This artist did a very good job!

Even though we were not able to make it up to Kansas over our Christmas break, that did not stop Mamual Lisa, Poppy Brian, and Great-Grandma Kay from sending presents in the mail!! Aubree misses her Kansas family so much and really enjoyed opening the presents!! Thank you Mamual,Poppy, and Grandma Kay for the wonderful gifts!! We love you and miss you!!

Christmas 2008

We had a very fun, family filled holiday. Josh and I were on Christmas break for an entire month. During that time we celebrated Christmas eve and day in Dierks with my family at my Granny Bea's house. Aubree recieved lots of presents and goodies! She also had her picture taken with Santa at the Texarkana Mall for the second year! Santa must have not minded the scream crying in his ear because he brought her a playhouse, ride-on toy, and a few other items. ;) My mama made me have my picture made with Santa until I was 13 YEARS OLD!!! I think I was crying in every single one until age 6!! I will continue this tradition with Aubree. At the time I hated this tradition and it seemed so silly to me. Now I totally know where she was coming from. Those pictures are priceless to her now!! The elf helping with Aubs pictures wanted to wait until Aubs stopped crying. I told her we could possibly be there all night and that I did not mind if she was crying in the picture. I also decided to use that picture as our Christmas card this year. We had a very wonderful holiday season and are very blessed!!
